How to interview players

1. 1.Pre-interview (30 sec): confirm name pronunciation, country and team before rolling.
2. 2.Open easy — a warm-up question relaxes the player and gives the edit a clean intro.
3. 3.Ask open questions ("Walk us through…", "How did it feel…") — avoid yes/no.
4. 4.Ask players to repeat your question in their answer so clips stand alone without the host.
5. 5.Listen and follow up on one detail — the best moments come from the second question.
6. 6.Keep it 5–10 minutes; respect players who are due back at the table.
7. 7.Watch audio: clap for sync, check levels, pause if there is noise nearby.
8. 8.End with a fun question and thank them — then note any standout quote for the edit.
